Postgraduate Dental Dean - Mrs Kirstie Moons
Responsible for:
- Quality management of dental specialty training programmes and posts
- Appointment of trainees and TPDs
- Assessment of the trainees’ progress
- Recommending the award of a CCST to the GDC
- Allocation and management of NTNs
The Postgraduate Dental Dean is required to have robust quality management processes in place to manage the delivery of training and to ensure the satisfactory progress of trainees.
Associate Postgraduate Dental Dean (DCT & DST) - Mr William McLaughlin
Responsible for:
- Participation in the local arrangements developed by the Postgraduate Dental Dean to support the management of the training programme
- Consider the collective needs of the trainees
- Provide support for clinical and educational supervisors
- Contribute to the annual assessment outcome process
- Support the Postgraduate Dental Dean manage trainees who are experiencing difficulties
Dental Specialty Training Manager - Ms Frances Yuen Lee
Responsible for:
- Co-ordination and organisation of recruitment, planning, and delivery of the Dental Specialty Training programmes
- Management and co-ordination of ARCPs for trainees
- Providing advice and guidance to trainees, Training Programme Directors, Educational Supervisors, training leads and Health Boards on a wide range of issues including recruitment and selection processes, annual training progression reviews, trainee allocations and programme management, training faculty development, placement evaluations
