English Educational Supervisors
An educational supervisor is a named trainer who is appointed by the provider to be responsible for the overall supervision and management of a specified trainee’s educational progress during a training placement or series of placements.
Clinical Supervisors
Each trainee should have a Named Clinical Supervisor for each clinical session. A clinical supervisor is a trainer who has proven competence in the clinical field and appropriately trained to be responsible for overseeing a specified trainee’s clinical work and providing constructive feedback.
Academic Supervisors
The academic supervisor is responsible for overseeing a specified trainee’s academic work and providing constructive feedback during academic or related experience. They are also required to provide an academic supervisor’s report as part of the evidence for the ARCP.
